The Mulberry leaf is a charming book that allows children to learn a mental proof about God’s existence and encourage them to be attentive to their environment and to look at different things around them with their hearts in addition to their eyes. Children will also learn the shape of a mulberry tree, the many things that can be made from its berries, what is common between a deer musk, a goat and a silkworm, and the different things these animals give us. This book works beautifully too as a bedtime story, as a supplementary reading for a science class, and as a basis for a school project. Children will also enrich their vocabulary with the rich pertinent adjectives used throughout this book.
God is “adh–dhāhir”; He is the One who everything is an indication of His existence. With our sound mind, if we carefully think about all the creations and ponder about their existence, we must know that they have a Creator who created them and who changes and transforms them from one state to another. It was narrated that a scholar was asked about a proof for God’s existence. He replied,” the mulberry leaf”. The people were surprised and asked how. The scholar explained that many animals eat mulberry leaves. They all eat the same exact leaf, but what they give us is very different. God is the One who made the food one and what is produced from it different.
The Mulberry Leaf presents beautiful illustrations coupled with a clear inviting structure and provides excellent material for a curious mind!
